The Nigerian Government has announced a two-day public holiday on the 9th and 10th of April, 2024, in celebration of the Islamic festival, Eid-el-Fitr. Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior, extended his congratulations to the Muslim community on the successful completion of Ramadan. In a statement released by Dr. Aishetu Gogo Ndayako, the Permanent Secretary, the minister emphasized the importance of embodying virtues such as kindness, love, tolerance, peace, and compassion, following the example set by the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
The ministers message highlighted the significance of unity and peace among Nigerians and expressed his best wishes for a joyous Eid-el-Fitr celebration. He also conveyed his hopes for continued blessings and favor from Allah upon the nation and its people.
