Chelsea secured a late 3-2 victory against Nottingham Forest, significantly boosting their chances of European football next season. The match was filled with twists and turns, leaving fans on the edge of their seats.

Former Chelsea player Callum Odoi  stunned his former team by curling in a beautiful finish, putting Forest ahead 2-1 with just 10 minutes remaining . However, Chelsea responded swiftly with two unexpected goals. Raheem Sterlin  ignited the comeback with a powerful strike from the edge of the box. Then, substitute Reece James provided the assist for Nicolas Jackson , who headed home from close range. The match was not short of drama, as both teams hit the woodwork four times during a frantic second half.

Despite Forest’s spirited performance, Chelsea’s win leveled them on points with sixth-placed Newcastle and put them three points clear of Manchester United. Their vastly superior goal difference further solidified their position. European qualification slots could extend as far down as seventh place by the end of the season.

Meanwhile, Forest remains three points above Luton, who occupy the final relegation spot. Although Luton would need a remarkable goal difference swing of 12 on the final day, Forest can now confidently plan for top-flight football next season under manager Nuno Espirito Santo. What an exhilarating match!
