Nigerian prankster Ubani Zion, popularly known as Zfancy, has been arrested by the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) National Cybercrime Centre for his recent ritual video prank that went viral on social media. The prank, which aimed to stir controversy and mark his return to the industry after a hiatus, backfired and led to his arrest.

The video, which featured a woman accusing Zfancy of performing rituals and attempting to harm her, was shared widely on social media and sparked widespread panic. Despite Zfancy's subsequent clarification that the video was a prank, public concerns did not subside, and the police intervened, arresting him at his apartment in Abuja.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, stated that Zfancy's arrest was due to the circulation of accusatory videos on social media, which caused significant apprehension among social media users. The police warned that such actions have serious implications and cannot be taken lightly, and urged content creators to be law-abiding and conscious of pranks that pose threats to public security.

Zfancy's arrest is not an isolated case, as other pranksters have faced similar consequences for their actions. The police have stressed their commitment to maintaining public safety and ensuring that individuals are held accountable for actions that incite fear or disturb public peace.
