The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Osun State has extended the service year of 40 corps members from Batch B Stream II for various infractions. Additionally, 23 corps members absconded from the scheme out of the 3,014 who successfully disengaged.

NYSC State Coordinator, Agbor Ndoma Obim, announced this during the passing out parade of the Batch B Stream II corps members. Obim commended the corps members for their good behavior and discipline, urging them to be good ambassadors and utilize the skills acquired through the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) training.

Obim advised the corps members to leverage the skills and training acquired during their service year to be self-reliant and achieve their goals. He also emphasized the importance of security, charging corps members to be security conscious, avoid night travels, and familiarize themselves with the security pamphlet provided by the scheme.

The NYSC prioritizes the safety of corps members, and Obim's warnings serve as a reminder to those still in service to take their responsibilities seriously and prioritize their security.
