The Nasarawa State Government has announced its readiness to implement the new ₦70,000 minimum wage for civil servants, following President Ahmed Bola Tinubu's approval. Senior Special Assistant to Governor Abdullahi Sule, Mr. Peter Ahemba, made the declaration, stating that the payment will enhance the welfare and productivity of civil servants.

Ahemba also addressed the ongoing nationwide protests, urging citizens to embrace dialogue and peace, while warning against criminality under the guise of protest. He attributed the lack of massive protests in Nasarawa State to Governor Sule's effective policies and programs aimed at alleviating hardships.

The government also highlighted its commitment to infrastructure development, including the construction of a flyover and underpass in Lafia, and efforts to provide adequate power supply for industrialization and socio-economic activities.
