The Katsina State chapter of Jama'atu Izalatil Bid'ah Wa Iqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS) has called on President Bola Tinubu to reassess his strategy in addressing the country's economic challenges. Sheikh Yakubu Musa-Hassan, the group's leader, emphasized the need for a more effective approach to alleviate the suffering of Nigerians.

Musa-Hassan also cautioned protesters against violent demonstrations, citing security concerns and past incidents of vandalism and loss of life. Instead, he advocated for a national prayer session to seek divine intervention.

The cleric stressed that the government's support measures, such as food and financial aid, often fail to reach those who need them most. He urged President Tinubu to adopt a more direct and transparent approach, ensuring that assistance is delivered to the intended beneficiaries.

Furthermore, Musa-Hassan emphasized the importance of empowering youths through entrepreneurship training, enabling them to become self-sufficient. He also warned those responsible for distributing government aid to be honest and transparent, cautioning that they would face accountability before Allah if they fail to do so.

The JIBWIS leader denied social media claims that his organization had received federal government rice for distribution, stating that he had not seen any evidence of such allocation.
