Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has publicly acknowledged the club's dilemma of managing an oversized squad, revealing that only 28 out of 43 players are currently training with the first team. Speaking to the media on Friday, Maresca expressed concern over the situation, stating, “At the moment if I start to think I have 43 players it is not a good thing, I have 28 training with me.”

The manager's remarks highlight the challenges faced by Chelsea as they navigate player management and transfer strategies. Among the notable players not integrated into the main training group are Conor Gallagher, Romelu Lukaku, and Kepa Arrizabalaga, all of whom are training separately in hopes of finding resolutions through the transfer market.
