In a surprising twist, the organisers of the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) reality show have announced significant changes to the rules governing the ongoing season 9. Following a recent live broadcast hosted by Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, viewers learned that the previously introduced Custodian Challenge and Head of House (HOH) ballot have been scrapped, along with housemates' ability to vote for the eviction of the bottom four pairs.

Initially, the Custodian Challenge granted select housemates the authority to impact eviction decisions and the HOH's selection process. These custodians were also shielded from eviction. However, the latest adjustments have seen an overhaul of this system, including a restoration of Immunity to the Head of House. Notably, this HOH position now excludes the option to "save and replace" nominated pairs.

Under the revised rules, the dynamics of nominations have shifted. Housemates will now nominate one another for eviction, while the ultimate decision rests with the viewers, who hold the power to vote accordingly.

These changes signify a notable shift in strategy for both the housemates and the audience, intensifying the competitive atmosphere as the season progresses. As the reality show continues to evolve, fans are eager to see how these alterations will influence alliances and gameplay as the season unfolds.
