The match, held at Molineux Stadium, saw Noni Madueke shine with a hat-trick, supported by impressive contributions from Nicolas Jackson, Cole Palmer, and Joao Felix. 

The Blues took the lead in the first half when Nicolas Jackson netted a stunning header, expertly placing the ball into the corner of the net. His celebration in front of the Wanderers fans and manager, Sir Jack Haward, exemplified his joy at breaking through for Chelsea.

However, the home side equalized through Matheus Cunha, who capitalized on a moment of lost possession by Moises Caicedo in a dangerous area. Undeterred, Chelsea surged ahead again when Cole Palmer, a former Manchester City player, scored to make it 2-1.

Wolves demonstrated their fighting spirit with Jorgen Strand Larsen finding the back of the net during stoppage time, leveling the score once again. Yet, Chelsea proved resilient, with Cole Palmer playing a pivotal role in facilitating all three of Noni Madueke's goals. Additionally, Pedro Neto made a notable impact off the bench, assisting Joao Felix for his first goal on his second debut with the club.
