President Bola Tinubu has ordered Nigeria’s intelligence and security chiefs to present a fresh security blueprint following a surge in deadly attacks across multiple states.

President Bola Tinubu has issued a decisive directive to Nigeria's top security officials, demanding an immediate and comprehensive overhaul of the nation's security strategies in response to escalating violence across several states. During a high-level meeting at the State House in Abuja on April 23, 2025, Tinubu expressed deep concern over the persistent killings in Borno, Benue, Plateau, and Kwara states, emphasizing that the loss of innocent lives must cease. He instructed the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, along with service chiefs, to develop a fresh security blueprint aimed at restoring peace and stability in the affected regions.

The President's call for action comes amid reports of coordinated attacks by unidentified assailants in various communities, leading to significant casualties and the displacement of residents. Tinubu's administration underscores the urgency of addressing these security challenges to safeguard citizens and uphold national unity.

In line with the President's directive, security agencies are expected to implement strategic measures, including increased intelligence gathering, community engagement, and deployment of additional personnel to vulnerable areas. The government reaffirms its commitment to ensuring the safety of all Nigerians and calls for collective efforts to combat insecurity.
